"i'm uncomfortable..."

joey has a "hot" spot which is dog-owner lingo for "uncontrollably itchy" spot. he's hates wearing his cone-collar but his hot spot is in the most uncomfortable spot ever, err uh, in between his legs. (let's just say it's a good thing he's neutered.) he doesn't want to walk around because it's just too itchy and it's just gotten too sensitive. i've bought him new cookie treats and given him lots of love but he still fills the apartment with drama. hopefully the evil cone-collar will help speed recovery.

Oh poor thing. I hope he feels better soon.

Once our cat had an Elizabethan Collar, and apparently that gives a cat carte blanche to be on the table. She didn't get on the table before, and doesn't now, but while wearing the collar we couldn't keep her off.

I feel so sorry for little Joey to itch so bad and for you guys to have to see him in such great misery.
I hope that cone allows him to heal quickly and the only drama left in the apartment is the upcoming Dodger game.

Love ya

Oh noes! We had to get Basil a collar because he gets a hot spot right on his behind. We're awful dog-parents though because we brought home a pink collar for our boy dog! Anyway, we also got this anti-itch soothing spray at Petco that works really well, it's natural (called Naturpet or something) tea-tree oil and chamomile and it really seemed to help him. Poor Joey, I hope his um, area stops itching soon!

mimi: ha, elizabethan collar! i'm surprised she could jump on the table with that thing. joey always gets his caught on the couch and bounces right off.

mom-in-love: he's doing much better now. he's wagging his tale and loves his treats. :)

laceybear: how long did basil's hot spot last? joey's doesn't bother him much anymore but it's still red. i think it should go away soon, it didn't develop into a sore.
